I was given SMZ-TMP DS 800, by my doctor, for a urinary infection, back in March 2008. After taking this medicine, I became VERY sick with flu like symptoms, experienced a bad headache, high fever, chills and dizziness. The doctor said that it could'nt be the medicine, that I probally had a bug or food poisoning. It became so bad that I ended up in emergency at the hospital, and was given something different. Six months have past, now Sept. 8, 2008.
Again was given this awful drug. After two doses, I became VERY sick. High fever, chills, a horrible headache and this time, ran to the bathroom all night long. I know now that it is the medicine. A warning should be put on the label, CAUSES FLU LIKE SYMPTOMS! BEWARE! I'll never use this again! I went to the doctor to get help, not end up in bed for two days because of a drug!
