I'm so sorry that you've been having all of this trouble!!!
I had many of these symptoms BEFORE Mirena (just had mine put in yesterday) and I was wondering if your doctor has ever done a laproscopy on you. Maybe you have endometriosis or adenomyosis or something. These are very painful conditions for some people. I actually had the Mirena put in because of the adenomyosis, NOT for the purpose of birth control. My husband and I would like to start a family very soon so if this does its job I won't have to have another surgery before then and then I can just have my uterus removed after I have a baby.
I think you should do some research and see if there could be other causes to your symptoms.
God Bless!
hi tracyp123. You've had a terrible time of it. Have you ever heard of endometriosis? I suffered like you for years with that terrible pain, crying, depression and all I ever got was 'you'll be fine once you have a baby' - I was 14 for God's sake! A new lady doctor asked if I'd ever heard of endometriosis - this was in 1989 - and she has been brilliant support to me ever since. It's a terrible thing to have but there is always hope. I was told back then that I'd probably never have children but now I have two wonderful boys. Not trying to say that everything is rosy, but maybe this will be of help to you. Good luck in your future. D99
