I had the heart palpitations and anxiety for the first time in my life with Loestrin. Scared me silly. Had an EKG and then an ECHO....heart was fine, thankfully. Went off the Loestrin and it all disappeared, including the headaches. Then tried the Mirena for 5 months and had the same issue. Loestrin has a high level of progestin and the Mirena is progestin only so apparently that is it for me. I just don't do well with high doses of progestin. Maybe you can find a different pill that works for you, one that is more "balanced" in terms of estrogen and progesterone. I think estrogen has gotten a bad rap....it seems to be progestins/progesterone that most women really have problems with. Good luck to you.

I am on my first pack of these. Have had headaches everyday since I started them. Mood swings, what feels like high blood pressure, shakes, irritability, bow movements up to 8 times a day, no sex drive, and an overall RAGE issue. Just decided to search the side effects to see if the way I've been feeling had anything to do w/ them-well, I'm pretty sure it does now. I'm not going to take them anymore.
