Another you can try is to read some books about anxiety you will learn quite a few techniques that other people have used to overcome it. One of the best ones is for every negative worrying thought you have then think of the positive side of, this maybe very difficult to do at first because an anxiety sufferer is the exact opposite of this, I encourage you to keep trying it, eventually your positive thoughts will come first and your anxiety will be gone.
Wow! Everything you are sayin is like a mirror of what I went through in 2006. I was given Ativan also when I had my first attack. I thought I was going crazy, and this pill made me feel so much better that I was in tears. The mistake the Dr. made was by not telling me not to take them too long because they are indeed addicting! They worked for me for about a month and a half until it started reversing on me. I got the heart palpitations and extreme anxiety that was worse than when I started. It is very scary to be where you are right now, but don't give up. I had to ween myself of them with the help of a physician. It was hellish goin through the little with-drawls but I know you can do it. I started this UNBELIEVABLE program called Attacking anxiety and depression with Lucinda it's amazing!!! PLEASE contact me at anytime! I will give you the info!
