I have been on this pill for over a year and I have never had any bad side effects (sorry to those of you who have) my periods always come once a month for usually a day or two. I take my pills relgiously every morning I have not missed one in over a year. But suddenly my periods have just stopped (I'm 28 so it's not menopause) if I call my OB he'll just tell me to come in for a pregnancy test. My husband and I have three kids and I knew with each that I was pregnant right away, I really don't feel pregnant. It just doesn't seem likely considering how long I've been on the pill. But have any other long term users just had their periods stop? Any ideas?

I have been on it for 9 months and for the first 3 months I had bleeding in the middle of my pack for 7-9 days. Then I just stopped getting periods all together. I just take a pregnancy test every month now to set my mind at ease, which sucks, but other than that I have no bad side-effects and so I deal with it. :( Other pills made my migraines worse and this one doesn't seem to, but yes, it is stressful not having a period. And you are right - I have been pregnant before and was able to tell right away, whereas I have felt normal for all of the months I missed my period. That's obviously not the surest way to tell, which is why I take the tests. What a pain...

I have been on loestrin 24 for 3 months and my period also stopped. I also knew that I am not pregnant because the test was negative and I have been very careful. I know that stress, insomnia, a lot of exercise... can stop the cycle. I am wondering the same thing.

this has happened to me also, causing a lot of worry. i am a nurse and have gone to 2 specialists as well as talked to my obgyn multiple times...everyone saying it is normal for the pill and not to worry. i stopped taking pregnancy tests a while ago and have justl earned to deal with it. my fear is that it wont ever come back when i DO want to have kids!

yeah ive been on it for over a year or so and my period never came one time and i freaked out and my gyno told me that it was normal. Loestrin 24 can give you little to no period at all. its only happened to me twice so far. i would just talk to your gyno.
