Back again Oh my am so confused on what to do.. I was taken off this med(LISINOPRIL) at my extreme constant complaint- and put on another--well either I have atypical reactions to all these drugs or am still having side effects from the Lisinopril-- I am taking diavon now-- I feel even worse-- rash is back head hurts so bad I could cry and I am weak all the time.. I could pull every hair that is left on the top of my head right out! I now have that rash around my neck and upper legs- was told before it could be the shingles hey I never had them before,, never.. my nerves are shattered I cry a lot and am hesitant to change again-so I stopped this is day 2 and my headache has subsided What are we to do I am at wits end.. I know I need something but what today I am at 140/90 going back up,, any suggestions? I started taking Zinc yesterday was told that I am experiencing LOW ZINC LEVELS DUE TO THE LISINOPRIL(HAS ANYONE ELSE BEEN TOLD THIS?)

Diovan is what they call an angiotensin 11 receptor. It is well established that people that cant take Lisionopril will also hyave a reaction to Angiotensin drugs.
I swear these Physicians will kill us all. Never again will I blindly just take a pill without thoroughly researching it.
I had a near death experience with Lisionopril and my doctor put me an Diovan too and after one pill I got hives and stopped urinating.
You have to look out for yourself as these meds are poison. I am doing lifestyle changes and losing weight and cutting out salt. My mental health cant handle this.
Lisinopril definitely depletes the body of zinc. I take 30mg a day. Zinc is important for the health of the immune system.
I am still having Lisinopril symptoms after 2 months. I pray I don't have permanent damage.

I agree with the person posting before me... the doctors are out to kill us. They look for a simple "pop a pill" approach, charge you $65 bucks for the minute they saw you and oh, you're having problems? Must be in your head. NOT! Lifestyle change is a must, but be assured there are herbs and supplements out there to help us. If you find a complementary doctor who uses natural remedies first before prescribing the drugs, you're better off. Lisinopril is made from snake venom, so surprise, surprise, there are many people with horrible allergic responses to it. Hives on the inside are actually worse than the outside - it's not shingles - it's HIVES. Stop taking this crap before things get worse. About the BP, research natural methods on the internet, they are out there with herbs & supplements to help you along with lifestyle changes. Some of note - Grape Seed Extract, C12 Peptide (Casien Peptide), Magnesium & Calcium. Do your homework and find out what works best for you.

Did you stop taking Diavon? I did the same thing and have only been on Diavon for one week. Well the genric Valsartan.... IT is supposed to be the same. I have a cough but not horrible like with Lisinopril. It has only been one week. It took one month for all the horrible things to start when I was taking Lisinopril. So I am continuing to take Diavon but wondering if I will have further symtoms.
