I am 86 ans also diagnosed with temporal arthritis (Horton's Disease ) BUT THE DIAGNOSE WAS NOT CONFIRMED BY AN BYOPSIE, which is the very first step in concluding on a temporal arthritis with a CRP..
Being a non smoker/drinker.I did not have have the side effects during two and a half year other than weight gain and urinary infections. The muscle pain and swelling of the legs and feet started when I was winding down slowly the dose of prednisone. Now of prednisone, walking is very painful.I am rejecting all medicine to relieve the pain because they make it even worse.Let us recognize that there is nobody who knows how to handle the multiple sideeffects of that Prednisone.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLY,,IT HAS BEEN INSIGHTFUL. HOW LONG HAV EYOU BEEN OFF PREDNISONE IF I MAY ASK? AND HAVE THE SIDE EFFECTS AND LESSENED?
THE BIGGEST PROBLEM FOR MY FATHER IS THE TIREDNESS AND PAIN WHEN WALKING.
AGAIN,,THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLY,,AND MAY GOD HELP BOTH OF YOU GET BETTER.
