Well, I just got through dealing with Hyperemesis at 12 weeks which included the whole Zoloft medicine along with having to be hospitalized and having an IV attached to me at home. I ended up having to have an abortion, because I was sick beyond my imagination. And the doctors didn't have much hope for me. All I can say is take the medication. If not every 4 hours, maybe every 7 hours. Don't allow yourself to go into the vomiting cycle. And oh yes, I was extremely constipated and my stomach was cramping, along with slight bleeding. Sorry, not trying to be too graphic, but if I could go back in time, I would have used the suppositories, tablets, anything to prevent the vomiting.
I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one experiencing extreme hunger while on Zofran. I had no choice to take it during my first 13 weeks because without it I was not able to work, but during that time absolutely NOTHING satisfied my hunger. Every two hours during the night I was munching on a muffin. As soon as I came off of it, though, my appetite returned to somewhat normal.
And yes, you're absolutely correct about the constipation. That was awful! I also noticed that I had a hard time burping while on it.
