I have a cholesterol of 140 and a triglyceride of 200 with the good good and the bad good. My doctor gave me a prescription for welchol, six tabs a day. I had it filled in August and have still not taken it nor intend to take it. He has given me other medicines that almost killed me so I do not intend to take this, in particular after reading these accounts. One thing I feel is good for your cholesterol and that is Omega 3 fish oil. I find no negative statements about this, only positive ones. I don't think it is necessary for me to lower my triglycerides any lower, let alone my total cholesterol. I am on 40 mg of lipitor presently. Any new meds that come out, all doctors get a rebate on the prescriptions that they give to patients. Keep this in mind. Also go to defective drugs.org, and do some more research on google. I am the wife of a 70 yr. old guy who has diabetes 2 and a pace maker..Up til he started taking this drug..he had no issues with erections..but now..it is nearly impossible for him to become and stay hard..I too, believe it is the meds..but then..what's a guy to do to help with high cholesterol issues?!
