I'm on day 3 of 750mg of Levaquin for walking pneumonia, and I feel awful. I've been so nauseous that I feel like I have the flu now. It started yesterday, but is definitely much worse today. I'm not taking any more of this medication. I'm calling my Dr. in the morning. I feel lucky after reading all these other posts.

I don't think flu is one of the side effects. check out the side effects at http://www.internationaldrugmart.com/levaquin.html

Also look if you are taking any other medication along with Levaquin. Some drugs will also increase the intensity of the side effects.

Yes, you can have flu like symptoms as a result of this evil drug. Also check www.fqresearch.org, www.fluoroquinolones.org, favc.info. Your dr. may try to tell you that levaquin can't cause these symptoms. In reality, most doctors are very ignorant about the side effects of fqs. Listen to your own body and stop the drug. I wish I had done this myself. Instead, I've suffered with ADRs for 9 months. Good luck to you.

I agree with the last response. The doctors ARE the problem. Do yourself a favor and stop now. I too wish I had stopped but the "all knowing" doctors said there was no way it could cause my symptoms. After 22 months of Hell I would like to have a chance at a second visit with those "doctors". I have something to say to them.

Remember, there is a saying that goes like this, "What do you call a doctor that graduated at the bottom of their class? ..... Doctor!"
