I just found your posting, and I am trying to find some help in regards to my 10 year old boy. He had been on Singulair for about 2 1/2 to 3 years. He said that he was always tired or sad, but most of all he said that he felt like he was in a fog all the time. He had a hard time in school, sometimes sad when he came home. He started not taking them when i would give it to him, then he would feel better. After this summer he was at my friends house for a week while i was gone out of town his allergy's where really bad so he was back on the singulair again, she called to tell me that there was something really wrong with him, he was sad and crying, stomach ach, head, not eating i just thought it was because i was gone, then she stated that she heard that this is one of the side affects. I took him off right then and talk with his doctor and yes stop the meds. So my question is have you heard if the med can cause permente problems. He just stared 5th grade and playing football for the first time is having stress issues, like stating that he doesn't know if he can handle it all. After his football game had some issues with a little leakage problem, told me after we got home very emberessed , alot of crying when i pick him up at school.
he has been of meds for 2months I just hope this is just some stress and not a long term affect from this drug. If you have any info or advise i would really like to hear it. Thank you
