I have only been taking Yasmin for a week. I am a healthy 35 year old woman and had not taken the pill in over 7 years. It is so OBVIOUS and striking that only after a week I feel terribly depressed and anxious. During the weekend, my heart was racing, I was crying and depressed for no reason. My "status" on facebook said "I feel lonely" until my friend asked me if I was taking any meds and all of a sudden everything was clear. It is so clear that the cause of this severe malaise is Yasmin. Yasmin caused me to be severely depressed and anxious in only a week of taking it. I will stop it immediately. I am also very upset at the nurse practitioner because I specifically requested she choose a pill that wouldn't cause depression! urg!!!

Arianna - this is exactly how I am feeling and I am stoping it today!!!! I cried at work today, snapped at my office mate, lost interest in anything and I have only been taking it for 6 days. I have a doctor's note now until Thursday, hope to recover by then and feel slightly better. I just want to become a normal person again, want to be myself and not a crying zombie. Keep me posted how you feel. By the way, I am 30 but it does not seem to make any difference anyway

I took Yasmin for two months and since stopping it January, I've struggled with anxiety and depression (the depression was a result of my inexplainable anxiety). It's been a struggle, but 9 months later I finally feel like I'm getting my life back and almost done with the anxiety symptoms. I never ever in my life had panic attacks or the obsessive thinking that anxiety brings until I took the pill and I knew that was NOT ME. Get off it as soon as you can. That pill messes with your hormones and then you struggling to get your body healthy while having to deal with the whole boat full of symptoms that anxiety brings to your mind. Not a good combo. God bless,
Crystal
