Here is our daughter's story, and believe me the tears are pouring down my face as I am writing this. Our daughter, who had completed her series of 3 vaccinations has been experiencing considerable hair loss. Her first shot was in May 24, 2007, the second on July 26, 2007 and the third and final on November 27, 2007. Here are the other specifics....our daughter was 13 turning fourteen. She has had every blood test imaginable to rule out the obvious which may cause hair loss such as thyroid disease, polycystic ovary disease, diabetes, and the list goes on and on. Everything came back negative. We even have a future appointment scheduled with a rheumatologist this coming November 08. We have seen the Endocrinologist and two dermatologists (a scalp biopsy proved negative to any infection, disease, etc. Granted, she had a typical amount of stress during the school year, as any young teen would, but nothing to cause this. Everyday our daughter says to us, "you should see how much hair fell out in the shower today". She's so afraid to brush or comb it because of the extreme shedding. She literally, to date has half the amount of hair she had one year ago. Let me tell you she had beautiful hair. The hair loss is becoming quite visible at the forward part of her scalp. This has been devastating, hair is everything to a teen. (to anyone this is devastating) We must also mention that her periods have been totally out of whack. She went 6 months at one point without one. It finally came back, but it is so sporadic, getting every two weeks, at times extremely heavy, etc... She also complains of intermitent dizziness. We are reporting this to Merck today (the Co. who makes this horriffic vaccine), along with the FDA. If anyone else is experiencing anything close to what we are, we all need to pull together and make the public aware of what's happening so we can prevent this from happening to our loved ones. Please share your experiences. Feel free to write me if someone you know is going through this same tragedy.

I hate to break it to you, but you got off light compared to others I've read. That doesn't mean it hasn't changed your daughter's life or that it isn't horrible. It is. What I can tell you is this sounds very similar to the damaging effects of chemo. That leads me to autoimmune disease. It could very well get worse than losing hair. Take action. Find a complementary doctor to work with you. Do your research and make up your own mind on a course of action. Regular doctors and hospitals will not help you. Find one who treats naturally with supplements and herbs. It can be fixed, but not through more toxins. You can read more about me and my fight with Cipro at floxintoxin.com. Gardisil is liquid poison that does alter the system. If the other symptoms have not manifested, they may well still be to come. Do something now to help your daughter before it wrecks her life too.

Hello my daughter was 13 when she had the second shot and we end up having to have her put in the hospital. The effects were so bad on her until she couldnt get out of bed. We to hhave an appointment with a rhumatologist. for nov. 11. My child cant even exercise or she will be just like she has had a stroke. It is so terrible. I cried when we were in the hospital the doctor came to me and said we need to watch her closely, because it was affecting her muscles and it might affect her heart and i prayed and i wish i had never gave her the shot. I would advise every parent to read these articles and think real hard about that shot.

my 12 year old daughter had her 2nd shot, when we noticed a bald spot on the back of her head. a couple of weeks later she has 3 spots that i know of. She is hiding the spots from me, she is almost to the point of tears. She was diagosed with alopecia areata. I will not be getting the 3 shot of course. I am concerned that she will lose all of her hair.

Erin Brockovitch is speaking out about the Gardasil shot. I sent an email letting her know about another side effect of this shot. Alopecia Areata., which most people do not know about. People must be aware of all the side effects. Although this disease is not life threatning, it is life altering for a teenager in today's world. I encourage everyone to get this message out and write to Erin at-erin@brockovitch.com. This shot is way too new, and should not be given!!

I completely agree with you when you say Alopecea is life altering and not life threatening. (My heart goes out to any young woman and their families that have been directly affected in any way, from the Gardisil vaccine!) I also believe that additional side effects may surface further down the road that may not be visibly apparent in the present. I hold my breath and say my prayers for everyone, including my daughter.
