My 21 yo son started Singulair Aug.5 on Aug 6 he experienced an opthalmic migraine with persistent visual deficits that are constant. He only had one dose. He has never had any type of migraine before or even frequent headaches. Two neuro-ophthalmologists feel he is that rare case his vision may never be normal again. Singulair induced????

Wow good luck to you,i havnt heard of that one before, plenty complained of migraines, but not vision deficits, for sure we know in your case this drug did cross the blood brain barrier no matter how they want to deny that.

Have you made an adverse event report with the FDA?

My daughter also experienced sever migraines, but she did not have the vision loss. It was found however that she had a nerve problem in one of her eyes (it was found about one year after being on Singulair). They had told her that at one point that she would have to have her eye removed to fix the nerve and then put the eye back into place. I am interested to hear what you find about about any link to Singulair. That is one side effect that I had never connected to her taking the drug.
