I actually got online to see if anybody else was experiencing insomnia with this drug. I had no idea it was the antibiotic!! Ugh! I havent' slept in days. I'm not taking it tonight.

Don't take it anymore! Your Doctor can absolutely prescribe you something different. I've never experienced Insomnia or a panic attack before this medication. I don't see how, with so many horrible stories, it's still legal to prescribe.

I agree about this drug. It has been a black box drug since July 9, 2008.
I had Horrific Nightmares, someone yelling in my ear you are going to die. Also could not breath, bloodpressure 240 over 120 Could not move fingers or legs could not speak. When I got up after the first dream I thought I was going to die. So I wrote an addition to my will. I also told my wife my funeral wishes and how to pay the bills monthly. Then I told my wife and dog that i loved them.
I am still having dreams not as bad. But now my shins and knees are getiing stiff. Only took 2 pills of this poison.
