Day 29 of Norvasc generic 10MG. I have swollen ankles and at the end of the day they a little painful. I cannot stay up past 10:30 P.M. I just feel so tired. Periodically my legs will turn red and are hot up to my knees-looks like a sun burn. I have been in a really bad mood lately. Everything annoys me...is this the meds or just me? I was on Linsinopril for about 3.5 months and coughed the entire time until I thought I was going to die. Doctor changed me to this. Swollen ankles much better then coughing all day and night. I'm just wondering if my bad mood is a side affect. Anyone have the same?
I just started (and ended after 2 weeks) on 10 mg. of this med. I tolerated the 5 mg. without much issue but the 10mg. caused severe exhaustion, need to urinate more frequently at night. I felt very edgy, more easily irritated, less ably to focus (some has to do with sleep deprevation). I was constipated and felt AWFUL. My gums quite red (vasodilation). I had similar symptoms with Sular. It effectively lowers my diastolic pressure but at too big a price..so..I called Dr.--we decided to try the 5mg.. I remain on Benecar and Metprpolol which I seem to tolerate.
