I suffered a stroke 2 months ago thanks to taking the Yasmin birth control!!! I also discovered I had a pulmonary embolism a week following the stroke! I am outraged! This must be taken off the market! please let me know , i'd love to take part in any class action lawsuit!! Im a 30 year old, healthy woman,i was not smoking, drinking, etc, and exercised frequently...

So sorry you experienced this. The very first post on this site, way back, more than 4,000 entries ago was by a husband whose wife died from a stroke as a result of taking Yasmin. I don't know how much longer this will go on...how many more women will suffer. I do hope you recover well. Sending you healing wishes. My daughter died at Broward General Hospital on August 20th 2006 due to a massive pulmonary embolus. Yasmin was her only medication, as she was a healthy yung woman. There haas not been any statistical correlation made in any records about her death adn Yasmin, which I believe killed her.
