Yes tendon pains are the side effects of Levaquin. These get worse when they react with certain types of medications and food. So you have to be careful with the type of other medications that you are taking too. Have a look at the list of medications that react with Levaquin at http://www.internationaldrugmart.com/levaquin.html
Dear Antilevaquin,
What types of fluctuations are you seeing with your blood sugar? I have never had any problems before with mine, and now my bloodwork indicates that I have diabetes. Do you think this may also be caused by the levaquin? I hate this drug!
"Yes tendon pains are the side effects of Levaquin." Are you serious?
Yeah, it's a side effect. So are tendon ruptures..... see the recent FDA boxed warning for quinolones. It only took how long for them to admit the problem? Maybe in another lifetime they will come clean on the rest of the problem!
Just for the record, when my bicep detached I had very little tendon pain. It just wasn't connected anymore. After the surgery... then I had pain! Still, it was nothing compared to the other arm. Yeah, tendon pain is a "side effect".
