I agree with what you've said 100%, which is why I always paid the extra and would not EVER let the pharmacy give me generic after making that mistake once. I've researched way too much information to believe generic medications are all the same, and I will NEVER let any doctor convince me otherwise....
By the way, after three years of being on toprol 50mg daily, I'm now down to just a quarter tablet, I went to a new cardiologist who agreed that I could try to discontinue the medication and see if my irregular heartbeat problem will not be as bad as the side effects...hope you have better luck than I've had...take care.
Welcome to the "Pharm". It is a nightmare indeed and it is out of control. It's all about the $$$$$$$$$$$$ now so look out for yourselves. The doctors don't know about all this crap. They are too busy handing out the slips and making $$$$$$ themselves. To be fair, I don't think the doctors even realize how bad this has gotten.
