Yes Cindy. Some of your symptoms sound like mine. Started Yaz 9/11 and stayed on it for 9 days. Initially, I felt a little dry (vaginally) and was just tired. I attributed the dryness to panty liners (spotting since day 1 of pill) and the being tired to a long work week. The morning of the 10th day, 9/20, I woke up extremely dry.. ALL OVER!! My whole body felt dehydrated; skin, mouth, everything! I have never, ever felt this way before. I stopped the Yaz that night and felt 50% better the next day but then an onslaught of other symptoms took over on Monday 9/22... aching spots in arms/legs (almost a cramp but not quite), tingling all over in different spots, cold hands, then sweaty feet (??) etc. I am figuring I really threw my hormones out of whack by stopping the Yaz after nine days but also considered low potassium since the symptoms seem to fit. I did see the dr. monday afternoon and got a blood draw (no results yet).. Felt better Tuesday 9/23 during the day but symptoms came back Tuesday night. I do feel very, very anxious as the symptoms are so strange.. I keep arguing with myself to not let my mind influence how I am feeling. Prior to the Yaz, I was absolutely healthy! I teach 1st grade and thankfully I can't remember the last time I had ANY illness at all!
Absolutely. I think there is a diuretic in Yaz, so I always am thirsty, and I always have to pee. I also get pretty massive stress headaches if I don't drink a ton of water. The vaginal dryness is definitely a symptom from the pill. I brought it up to my doctor, and she said it was very common. I'm stopping this pill at the end of this pack because there are just so many other symptoms that show up after long term use.
I also take Yaz and have for 1 year now. Almost upon starting it I experienced dry mouth and I have ever since. I have to pee very frequently now also, so I also do believe there is a diuretic effect to this drug.
