Yes indeed it is that awful medication Lisinopril. I stopped cold turkey after five years of bogus diagnosis. I told my doctor I wasn't taking another pill made from snake poison.I am now taking Norvasc with good results.
I had every symptom including all of your husbands and they put it on something else. I now have permament shoulder and left knee pain from Lisinopril.
Every high blood pressure med has some side effects. I am working on lifestyle changes to get off compeltely.
I had a really bad time with lisinopril and all I can say is don't take it. I was to the point of almost getting sick at night, coughing, cramping etc. I was just switched to norvasc and have been on it for 5 days and have had no side effects at all (or at least that I have noticed) I am also on hctz 25. I have be through a bunch of meds and so far this is one is good. Best of luck!
Please tell your husband to see his doctor and stop the Lisinopril! It made my fiance very very sick, causing him to cough so badly that he nearly passed out several times. It has taken him 3 months to recover from the cough. The sleeplessness and leg cramping along with the coughing caused him to lose sleep for months on end. Please have his doctor prescribe an Angiotensin-2 Receptor Antagonist instead (Cozaar, Atacand) instead. My fiance takes Cozaar now and it has made a world of difference. In the bedroom, too, I might add.
