I am a 60 yr. old woman and was on simvastatin for several years before I realized that all of my aches, pains, and muscle weakness could be because of it. I stopped taking it in March, and had very little improvement until June when I started taking 100 mg CoQ10 twice a day. I am now pretty much pain free but the muscles in my thighs are still very weak, and I am still very fatigued. Anybody have any suggestions?

Good that you stopped that dangerous drug. I stopped taking Lipitor 7 mos. ago and still have many side effects and taking several natural products to help it and control my cholesterol. I have read that it could take 1-2 years to get rid of the poison in your system.

I'm now 9 months off the med. Sounds like I'm in a pretty similar physical state to you. I'm 54 male. The coq10 needs to be ubiqinol not ubiquone the difference is 3-500% body uptake. I also take 3000 mgs fish oil 400 mgs magnesium citrate powder and 3000 mgs vitamin c. I take oxycontin (prescribed) and for the last 3 days been on a low dose of prednisone. It's very early days but I would have to say the prednisone has kicked a 20% improvement in this week which helps. This whole drama for me has been a 5 yr avoidable, prolonged, cruel poisoning nightmare. I hope it doesn't claim to many more victims B4 it is bought under stricter control. My mental state has vastly improved I only had 4 light phsyco disturbances last month as in blackouts, being unreasonable etc. "preventitve medicine - yeah rite" Best to you.

To LINDAG,, My Doctors did testing and found slight anemia. They prescribed Vitamin B-12 a High Potency. Have your Doctor do a complete evaluation to determine why you are so fatigued,, It may be something as simple as taking a vitamin..hope all goes well..
