I had Implanon inserted in June 2008, I just had it removed Sept ...

I totally agree on what you are saying with the side effects! I have mine implanted in August 2008 and I am getting mine removed In 2 days because of the side effects! First I started experiencing horrible headaches and still having them. I have never had acne in my life and my whole back was covered for about 3 weeks!! I have been on my period since It was implanted! My vision has become blurry. I went out to eat the other night with my family and couldn't even eat anything because I felt like I couldn't swallow, which is a side effect from nervousness the Implanon causes. I am very dizzy and have been for about 2 weeks. Including a sore throat that I can't get rid of. My left arm and leg are tingly and go numb off an on throughout the day/night. Depression has set in and aggression!! I am not a mean person at all and I have been snapping on everyone. I get mad over nothing all the time.I am hungry ALL THE TIME! My heart races even when I am sleeping and at times its very difficult for me to breathe. I feel like I AM NOT MYSELF at all .....

I have been on implanon for 8 months now and my side effects started with weight gain. Then i begin to get acne on my face and i have never had acne before.I get headaches all the time. My mood swings have been getting worse. I don't have energy to do the things i use to do and i was a very active person before. Also my left knee hurts really bad in the mornings when i get up and i just feel uncomfortable in my body. I definitely am ready to get this out. Im just wondering how soon does your body go back to normal ?

I had implanon inserted in January 2009 and now it is May 2009 and I am desperatly trying to get someone to take it out. My irregular bleeding has become constant bleeding to the point that my blood count got low enough that i needed an IV last week when i went to the hospital. The doctor that put it in is now on vacation and the clinic says they cant find anyone who knows how to take it out. I am done... i wish i never would have gotten it. The doctor kept telling me that the bleeding would stop, they put me on the pill the counteract the implanon...but to no avail. I am done!

I've had the implanon in for about 2 1/2 months now. & I have about a 3 day period EVERY WEEK! I HAVE COMPLETELY LOST ALL INTREST IN SEX! My hair falls out of my head, bad! I have been having very bad mood swings, getting mad over the littlest things ever! I get depressed & stressed out over stupid stuff! I get head aches pretty bad! My legs & hips have been hurting quiet a bit lately! The arm it is inserted into feels very weak at times, sometimes its hard to move that arm & pains in that arm! I dont even feel like myself anymore! I am about to make an app. to get it taken out! Hopefully everything works out & everything gets back to normal soon!!!

I'm so pleasd I found this forum. I've had a really awful time an implanon, this is my second one and I have to say the first one was great no side effects at all. I got my second one put in in June 08 and began putting on weight almost straight away, but it didn't bother me.Then in September I got reflux really badly for about 2 weeks, I went to the doctor and he gave me tablets. Then I got a pain in my chest, around my rib cage, then the backs of my legs started to ache and would get really weak, my back, shoulders, my right hip, my right knee and my feet began to really really hurt. The Doctor started giving me all sort of tablets including steorids but nothing worked. I've really sore breasts as well. However the physical effects suck the mental side effects are worse, I got so bad I was afraid to be by myself. The doctr refused to take my implanon out so I registered with another doctor and had it out 4 days ago, my head has been paining constantly since and my body feels like it was hit by a truck, does anyone know if this is normal. thanks for taking time to read this.

Does anyone know if besides dizzyness, has anyone fainted? I for the first time a few days ago passed out in the shower and have been dizzy ever since. I have had the implanon in since June 09 and have been bleeding consistently since. Do the mood swings stop? Or are they permanent? I don't know whether something else is wrong with me or if it is a result of the implanon. My blood pressure is also really low.

Im so glad that i started searching. I have gained about 25 pounds in the last year i use to be really active and now i dont even want to clean my house. I dont like sex...im only 20 i should not have that problem. My boyfriend barely talks to me cause im either complaining about how fat i am, how bloated i am, or i just cry. My grandma is the one that brought up how big i have gotten. I am in the military this is not an option. I have dieted, worked out, everything, and i cant loose the weight. Last month i went to the ER cause i thought i was dying. I blead for a month. then it just stopped now i never know whats going to happen. I would not recommend this to anyone.

I've had the stupid thing since Feb 08 right after the mirrena IUD went THOUGH my uterus and had to be surgically removed! I bled for 6 weeks straight...Horrible cramps and even worse mood swings. Im tired and weak and my head feels like its gonna explode. I have only gained like 3 lbs but im ALWAYS bloated. I have an 8 month old daughter and i hardly have the energy to take care of her. My husband is in the military and we live in different states right now so i havent ever really had his help but before this damn "matchstick" became part of my body i was nothing like this! I keep hearing that people lose their fertility from implanon or have alot of trouble getting pregnant again. That part worries me! Has anyone heard about a false negative pregnancy test cause im starting to wonder if im pregnant but every test is negative! All of this doesnt make any sense! I wouldnt recommend this to anyone! Its been hell...im calling monday to have it taken out!

is it normal for my left arm where the implanon
was inserted to hurt and be sore???
i have headaches sometimes not really bout 3 times a week
im constantly TIRED
i get mad or cry about the dummest things and the littliest things
UHHH my boyfriend gets mad lol..
and agian my MOODSWINGS ARE OUT ON CONTROLL....
but all of the above i wan to know if the hurting in the arm in normal??
