I was on the NuvaRing for about 2 years and I lost so much hair from it that I stopped using it 8 mos ago. I will never take any form of birth control again. This was the scarriest thing in the world. I felt like a Cancer patient and was worried something else may be wrong with me...I went to a few doctors and had some tests run. They couldn't find anything, which tells me that it was the Ring. It has been 8 mos since I stopped the Ring and a year since I really lost a ton of hair. A doctor I saw suggested I buy "BioSil" and it is working great!! It is definitely helping the hair grow back. My hair is nowhere near the thickness that it was, but I am to the point now that I have tried dating again...despite my low self esteem due to this fiasco. I am spreading the word about the side effects of the NuvaRing in hopes that I will be able to help other women avoid going through what I went through.
