You sound just like me. Diagnosed with hypothyroid back in 1995 and have been taking Synthroid for a period of years. My weight goes up and down like a yo yo and know in the last year to six months not sure how many times we have increased and decreased my dosage I am so frustrated and now I am wondering if the awful headaches I am getting might be something related to the Synthroid. I get the sweats and tremors with the headaches and just doing something like picking up my kids things off the floor I break out in a sweat to where I have to change my shirt.
First of...haha I wanted to reply because you have a great sense of humor! I am a 29 year old female who was diagnosed with a low thyroid after I asked specifically for a t3 and t4 test..my tsh has always come out totally normal, but I just had a gut feeling that it was my thyroid ( and yes ok...I will admit..maybe Oprah had a bit to do with it) anyways they syarted me off on the classic 25mg now Im up to 100 mg and feel like a piece of crap still?! what in the???....I have been blessed enough to be referred to an endo which will only take a full year to get in! are you kidding me already? I have a feeling that it is not my thyroid and that there is some other underlying diagnosis for my health issues! ANYWAYS....I have heard about iodine as well, and read that it may no tbe the best idea to mix with your thyroid meds, cuz it actually acts counterproductively with them?! I dont know..its just something I read....everyone seems to have something different to say! Hope you get to the bottom of your issues and find a peace with it all :)

apparently I am new to this site and I do not know what I am doing! pardon me..but I also notice ( and I know you were joking) that you said you owned stocks in aveeno....I have heard wonderful things about their products...do you reccommend a certain cream of theirs?...my skin is terribly dry from my eltroxin as well!
I too get boil type things in the same place. I just stopped taking synthroid after 16 years. My life was normal 16 years ago, I just went to the doctor because my skin was swollen a little and that is when they put me on synthroid. Life has never been the same since synthroid. I was told I would have to take it for life and so I did until now. I have always had the same symptoms since I was diagnoised 16 years ago but with new symptoms. So I'm done with synthroid . I was giving some T3 stuff from a friend once only a 2 month supply a few years ago and I couldn't believe how wonderful I felt, my skin wasn't swollen anymore, I looked younger, I lost weight, had tons of energy and felt alive. I tried to get my doctor to look into the T3 medication cytomel but he refused. If it made me feel and look so good why wouldn't a doctor look into it.
YES! I have skin eruptions middle ways up my left buttock in or very close to the same location each time. I've wondered if it's a staph infection of some sort. My physician tested the sore for herpes, but the test was negative. I also have a nodule on the right side of my thyroid. I'm trying to decide if I should have it removed. I'm not currently taking synthroid. I came to this site to read up on it first! I saw your comment and would love to know more about your symptoms to see if they match mine.
