Parents for Pharmaceutical Safety and Responsibility will be conducting several polls about the demographics and behavior of children on Singulair. Watch this site for the announcement of the new web site. Volunteers will be needed so we can get our numbers and statistics made public. We are also working to form alliances with other organizations to gain support and resources for our cause.

My son is 14 years old-caucasion, fair skin and had severe reactions to Singulair as stated in my postings. He had depression, brain fog, anger and aggresiveness, suicidal thoughts and insomnia--to name just a few. He is doing much better now-being off that destructive drug since 7/25/08--He still has almost amnesia -- that is not remembering how volatile and depressed he was--also couldn't retain academic learning from school--2-3 years lost for our son Matt. Thank God he is becoming his happy self once more. Still has asthma problems but the frequent stomach aches and respiratory infections have eased up quite significantly. We watch him very closely. Very interesting the reports you sent on You-Tube. We follow this posting site daily. Thanks for all you, Kate and Flindy do. We lived a real nightmare and I thought there was something really, really wrong with our son and the doctors never suspected and still don't -that Singulair is poisoning our children. I thought we were fighting a losing battle but if we all keep fighting and being advocates--the FDA and Merck will finally do something to save other children.

My daughter has bulked up and breast size reduced one full size from her reaction to the steriods. We spoke to the doctor when we first noticed the bulking up, and stopped taking it unless she was in soceer season. Now she takes it in high school for sports all the time and reduced one full bra size but isn't bulking up any more than she had.

My son is a very fair caucasion 6 yr. old. Within 2 weeks of taking it his asthma/allergy symptoms had stopped but he seemed to become a different child. Very angry, and yet hyper at times, quick temper, melt downs over nothing. I was feeling as if he just SO unhappy (although I think his life is great) and I was losing him. At first I thought it was adjusting to 1st grade but he had been adjusting all month and been fine. He's been off 2 days now and I haven't seem much improvement but I'm hoping to see it soon.

my 8 yr old, is light blue eyed, white, fair skinned. mix of english, french, german, indian. he suffered the assault of singulair for 3 years. i didnt pick up on the side effects until they increased his dosage to 5mg. at that point, it became loud and clear with the additional side effects of hallucinations, facial tic, cold / hot sweats etc...he has been off for 1 1/2 years and has made an amazing recovery. thank you medications.com, you probably saved his life.

My son is 3 1/2 yrs old and is white/fair. He has been on Singular consistently for 3 months. His side effects include: bedwetting, mood swings, thoughts of sadness/crying (he says "I like to cry and be sad all the time now."), extreme irritability, increased hunger. I am crying at my computer tonight reading all these posts. I gave him HIS LAST DOSAGE of this today. I am NEVER handing him another one of these pills. I have been researching possible emotional problems and thought he needed toddler therapy... now, I realize it was probably the Singulair. I am extremely saddened by this.

I just took my 5y/o son off of Singulair just to see if it helps his mood. So far, he's been a lot better. It's only been 5 days so we'll have to wait to see for certain if that is what was causing his issues. He would be totally fine one minute, and then suddenly get angry and hurt. He said stuff like nobody loves him and no one at school wouldl play with him. He said he wanted to kill himself. I talked to his teacher and she said he was the most popular boy in his class so it just seems a little odd. He is Guatemalan and has very dark tan skin, probably Maya Indian.
