my cholesterol went up 50 points to 245 in just 1 year. My ldl was always good until this year. my sister who is also on Effexor XR noticed her cholesterol also increased. as a result I am being weaned off it. I also have had sweating problems - my sister's is worse & I heard on the news that Effexor XR eliminates REM sleep, which is why I am always tired. I have been on Effexor XR for 3 years.
