Hi, this is a reply to bishopk. I have been getting migranes ever since I went on the pill 8 years ago. Since then I have tried different brands of the pill (ortho tri cyclen, ortho try cyclen lo, etc), I've tried the patch, and finally Nuvaring. My migranes are the same with all of the birth control. I get about 2 - 3 migranes a week, and they're absolutely terrible the day I get my period. I also completely lost my sex drive being on nuvaring, and I continued to gain weight and have severe cravings just like the other birth control pills. Plus, I never had any energy on Nuvaring and always felt tired and drained. I have now gone off the nuvaring (to see if I would feel better) for about 2 weeks, and I feel great! I haven't had a headache. I have so much more energy, and my sex drive has increased dramatically. Since we are married now, we are now just going to use condoms instead of using hormone birth controls. The strain on my body just wasn't worth the convenience of using nuvaring. I hope this helps.
