Has anybody had a problem with their gums thickening. It's actually the area behind my upper teeth not the gums around my teeth. As a result, my teeth are being pushed forward making me self conscious of my smile. I'd like to get off this medicine but the other medications seem just as bad. Has anybody had any luck finding alternatives to medication?

I am so glad someone else mentioned gum and teeth problems. I have been taking low doses of Lamictal for seizures for 5 years. During my 6 month dentist appt. yesterday, I realized my teeth are becoming more and more overlapping, crooked. They brushed if off as just aging!, Im 50, what will my teeth look like in 10-20 years. It's bad enough I can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday, but now Im going to end up with "Hillbilly Teeth".
