Have you stopped taking Singulair? If so, it took my son 2 weeks to start feeling better. Several other people say its taken longer but it was 2 bad weeks for us. Good luck.
Stop the Singulair and I bet you will feel like your old self again. If the side effects taper off after you stop the drug you should file a report with the FDA and Merck. You can find a link and sign a petition at Parentsforsafety.org
Thanks to those who replied to me. Yes I came off Singulaire 4 weeks ago and my breathing has been good. My joints still ache and I still feel as if my legs do not belong to me, weak and clumsy. Today I got anti inflammatory tablets to try to ease the back ache and joint pains. I have printed some of your comments to show my doctor when I return to England (at the moment I am in Spain) to make him aware of the awful side effects.I am really weary and my husband tells me that I am irritable too.

On july 9th 2008 I awoke and could not walk. The heavyness in my legs and pelvis was horrible. I was rushed to emergency and was asked the usual questions what medicine I was on. I told them that for a week I had been on Singulair they said that that was odd. It was confirmed at the pharmacy that this medicine causes this side effect and then some. Let me just say that I was admitted to the hospital for two weeks and during the second day both my legs and pelvis swelled up I ended up with a massive blood clot which till this day I am dealing with I am on coumadine now and my life has been turned upside down. I was using a wheel chaie then a walker. and now I am walking taking baby steps. and let me add that the doctor that is treating me who was the perscribing doctor is in denial.I am looking for an attorney to file a lawsuit against this horrific drug please let me know if you know of any attorneys interested in these side effect from singulair. God Bless you all and spread the word singulair is very dangerous.
