Cry baby me a 54 yr old male wreaked in pain crying like you wouldn't believe what is going to take to stop these b**********s what about all our 70 - 80 yr old people on it?????? Hatred and anger, but best to you. Also be aware of withdrawals some get and most don't but withdrawals was the absolute worst for me.
Hi - I was on simvastatin from Jan. to May this year (10mg) Came off in May with GP approval as had joint pains etc. In August my cholesterol level was sky high again even though I was practicallyliving on salads and fruits. Changing my diet made no difference (my diet was good in first place) Was put on 40mg per day - very nauseous and indigestion pain an severe pain in hips knees - in fact all down my legs - after just one week of higher dose. Stopped again GP took blood tests - all came back normal. My GP on three week holiday but I still have paints all down my legs, still feel a little nauseous but I have been off them now for five weeks. Its a case of what came first chicken or egg scenario - as GP says all my symptoms nothing to do with medication
Forgot to mention please read THE GREAT CHOLESTEROL CON BY MALCOLM KENDRICK. Very good reading to help you make your mind up.
you described the symptoms exactly to what i was experiencing ...i was on simvastatin for 4 years and at 52 just put it down to getting older .....there are non statin based cholesterol drugs available but these are more expensive....
