I only had the Mirena for 5 months and had it removed due to side effects. I went immediately into menopause but I am quite a bit older than you -- 43. Maybe your body just needs more time to balance your natural hormones. As a birth control pill, the Yaz takes over your natural hormone output some maybe by going from the Mirena right to that, it just prolonged the time your body needed to start on it's own. Are your cysts still a problem or did they go away after you had the Mirena removed? I started having hot flashes after the Mirena was removed....it took 2 months for that to start. I would say that if you go more than 2 months post-Yaz and don't have a period, you should check with your Dr. Good luck and take care.
thanks for the advice but i am worried i either have a tubal pregnancy or i am pre-menopause I am calling planned parenthood tommorrow to set up an appointment
