Hi my name is lee-anne, i sooo know how you feel, i am 28 and had p.e after my first baby last year and since being on warfrin my whole body changed i even had to have physio where i had so much ache in muscles and even my bones, so frail and weak, it has to be the drugs. I now was told to stop warfrin fri and i am so afraid i lost my saftey net and live in fear every day of getting another one and not being so lucky next time, sorry i just want to hear some positive outcomes of coming off of the warfrin, is there any out there? lol Xxx god bless
If your doctors are dismissing the description of your symptoms, find another doctor until you get someone who listens. Your symptoms are real. My aunt is on Warfarin and she suffers bad spells of weakness and extreme fatigue.
Thank god you wrote on here! I thought it was only older people who experienced these problems as my doctor also told me my side effects were not due to the Warfarin! I am 25 and had a bilateral PE 5 months ago. I have gained 2stone in 5 months, my hair is very thin and have lovely patches of baldness, I have no memory whatsoever (my job requires me to think on my feet so I am really struggling there) and Acne is no longer a thing of teenage years! I have never had bad skin before to be honest but now I have spots all over my chest and back and occasionally on my face! I have turned from an active, slim, clear skinned woman to a fat, spotty, moody freak! It helps knowing it is not all in my head - only 1 more month to go on these stupid pills and I will hopefully get back to normal!
Also your memory loss might be due to trauma, - I dont feel like I actually went through any trauma as I was just in hospital for a while, then I was out and on pills - but apparently your body knows you have been through something and it can effect memory and speech (nouns are hard to come by in a conversation? Can't think of your words or finish a sentence?).
I hope you are all better and feeling good after coming off your meds (I hope you are off them anyway!)
All the best
I have had trouble with my teeth breaking and chipping! Never in my life have I had to buy two crowns in two months. I feel like a old lady myself, I take 10mg a day and my INR has to stay between 2.5 and 3.5. Also, notice I burn in the sun more than I use to need sun block of about 15 to 30. I hate this drug! Rat Poision! that is all it is!
