Hey mandacakes.
It's OK if you want to stop taking the pills even though you haven't finished the pack. You will get a period shortly after you stop. It might be heavier than normal, just so you know that's ok if it happens. After that first period it might take a long time until you get your next one, because your hormones need to rebuild themselves.
For you and your boyfriend I say use condoms. I have never appreciated condoms as much as I do now lol. As long as you know how to use them correctly, you're protected. And never use them past the expiry date.
Wish you all the best in your healing :)

For the acne it's simple. So simple you won't believe it until you try it. Forget creams and anything to apply. There's one special B-vitamin called pantothenic acid, just go to an herbal shop and purchase 500mg. One a day keeps the bumps at bay. If you have severe acne before though expect a month for it to take effect.
I was on Yasmin for 4 months and noticed it changed my personality and my health went on a downward slide.
I have a whole list of symptoms but don't have time to list them all...
I will however state this: Exactly two days after going off this pill, I got severe abdominal pain. I went to the hospital where I was told I had Appendicitis.
I spent the next few days recovering from surgery.
Some would say maybe there's no connection to the pill, but I know it's not just a coincidence!

Hi, I am 24 years old. I have taken Yasmin and i love it. I was diagnosed last year with PCOS and have always struggled to loose weight and with imbalanced hormones and irregular periods. I took Yasmin for Three months, and those three months was the best months of my life. I did not just loose 1 pound, i lost 30 pounds in three months, i went from a size 13-14 to a size 9-10. My skin cleared up very nicely, i did not experience mood swings and my periods was normal for the first time, no cramps, no clots, etc...But, i had stop taking Yasmin because it was so expensive and i didn't have insurance at the time. So here i am almost one year later, with very bad acne, and i have gained all of the 30 pounds that i lost back. However, i am in the process of starting Yasmin again and if i had a choice to do it over again, i would. I don't regret anything about this drug. But in my opinion and from what my doctor has told me, this pill is designed specifically for women with hormonal imbalance, not just women who want to be on birth control to prevent pregnancies as the ingredients used in this pill is different from others. That maybe why some people have experienced bad reactions to the pill. All i can say is that if you have PCOS, you know the side effects that we struggle with, and how hard it is to loose weight, let me just say i recommend this pill for that reason, and not just to be used to clear up acne. Yasmin has an extra hormone that other pills don't have, so if you do not have a hormonal imbalance, the problem could that you are getting too much of that extra hormone, thus brings on the awful side effects that people are experiencing. Just my thought but hey I LOVE IT!!!!. -Christy
