Tomorrow will be my last day of the first pack of Loestrin, but during my 3rd week I got a period. Is this NORMAL? I am not used to taking a daily medication and I forget to take it at the same time everyday, even though I normally try to take it when I wake up in the morning. I wear a panty liner because I have been spotting for the past few days, even after the "regular" period was over

on any pill it is EXTREMELY important to take it at the same time everyday. set your alarm on your phone or something. not taking the pill at the same time every day will cause breakthrough. I am on my third week of loestrin and i had a little nausea in the morning and i had break through bleeding my 1.5 week into it but it stopped.

i cant just stress how it is important to take it the same time every month. if you can take it in the morning. then after your done with this pack take it at night. i take mine at 9pm bc thats what i am def home from work.

I'm in my 3rd week of the first pack and have been spotting regularly for the past 2 weeks. Mostly occasional brown but last Thurs and today, a light red period. I called my dr and was told this is normal, a nuisance but normal. It's your body adjusting to the pill and it could take up to 3 months for it to become fully regulated and "normal". Hang in there... after the 3rd pack, if you're still having problems, you may need to re-evaluate what pill you're on and perhaps move to a different one with higher levels of hormones.
