I took rispedal very small dosage 0,5mg per day, for anxiety along with Effexor XR 75mg. I took the risperdal for 2 months. I am still on Effexor. During the 2 months on Risperdal I had extreme HUGER, constant THIRST. This is a sign of blood sugar problems. I read Risperdal can lead to diabetes? I went off it, needless to say. This drug is usually prescribed for Schizophrenia in higher doses (8-16 mg per day I think). It shouldn't be taken for long periods of time for other purposes (for schiz. I am not sure). Be careful with off-label prescriptions!
