My 2.5 year old son has been taking oral Singulair granules for 5 days. He has developed a vasculitic rash on his arms and legs. Is this a known side effect of the medication?

Rash is a documented side effect of Singulair. You can confirm this at www.singulair.com and our advocacy site at www.parentsforsafety.org. Unlike the official singulair site, we offer explanations of the serious psychiatric side effects of Singulair. Please contact your son's physician about the rash as he may be having an adverse reaction to the medication.

My son had Eyrathema Multiforme twice on Singuliar. It is an allergic reaction in rash form. I didn't know until recently that it was most likely from the Singulair. Take him off of it. There are other medicines out there. It hurts his little body more than it will help him. Good luck
