I have been on Loestrin 24 for over a year now and I have to say that it is working really well for me. I have extremely light periods (esp. compared to the ones I was having before), predictable periods, and no mood swings. i have had breakthrough bleeding 2 of the months I've been on this pill. The only thing I've noticed is it is extremely hard for me to lose weight. Now, I only need to lose like 10 pounds, but I was running everyday and eating healthy for about 3 months and did not lose a pound of weight. I don't know if it was due to the pill, but in the past it has been fairly easy for me to lose,

Were the 2months of breakthrough bleeding in the beginning? I am on the last week of the first pack and have had breakthrough bleeding. Dr tells me it's "normal" and since I've never been on BCPs before (I'm almost 41), my body needs time to adjust. Otherwise, I feel amazing on it. I have energy, lost weight... I even sleep better. I really like it otherwise so I'm hoping the BTB goes away and I can experience the "joys" of taking the pill.

After reading all of the postings, it's no wonder my Dr. gives me a bunch of samples. Noone else wants this pill! I take it back to back with out a break, for my endometriosis. My complaint is bloating and weight gain. The bloating is from not taking a break, but the weight gain is not my imagination. I exercise and am a disciplined eater. I've been on and off the pill for years and know most cause weight gain, so I guess I
