Hi,
My doc said you may get dry skin or develop Excema which is a common skin disease. I use Aveeno and Ucerine. Both of those help alot to keep the skin moist and prevent the itch. I had Excema prior to the Mirena.

hahah... my arms and legs are SO itchy i can barley stand it.
My scalp itches so bad, and it seems like the skin on my head has gotten weak... one scratch on my scalp and it bleeds and scabs...
it is absolutley disgusting...

i never had any of these problems before Mirena. also, I am getting deep pimples on my face and back, dry skin, and it's PEELING!

I have had horrible problems with itchy skin for 2 yrs. I take an allergy pill every day as none of the lotions work!! I have had blood tests that came back normal. After a shower, my skin looks like it has been on fire it is so red and sensitive!! I have has my Mirena for 4 years and accepted the weight gain as a trade off for no periods, which I love!! But I never thought my skin issue could be a side effect also!!! I have been miserable with this problem and if it is caused by the Mirena, then I WILL get it out!!!
