I am on the third pack of Femcon, switched from Ortho Tri-Cyclen ...

I am on the third pack of Femcon, switched from Ortho Tri-Cyclen because my periods were too long. I can't say I have any major side effects, no depression, no wackiness etc., One that I do have is breast tenderness, my boobs blew up like balloons and I do have major skin/chin problems that no dermatologist can help me with for the last few weeks. I couldn't figure it out what it was from but I think it might be from the pill. Never had any skin problems, acne and all of the sudden my chin breaks out badly, not pimples more like under the skin red bumps. Anyone with the similar problem???? HELP.

I am now on my 4th pack of Femcon Fe and I have had the same exact symptoms! My face did this same thing when I was on the patch. My face is irritated and almost burns! My breasts have also "blown up." I don't really know what to tell you to do; it is just good to know that I am not crazy for making the same associations! I think I am going to call my doctor and see about switching to something else. I had been on Ortho Tri Cycline Lo and asked to switch because of occasional mood swings; however, I am thinking that is better than the face/breast problems.

Yes!! I am truly at the point of just pulling my hair out. I do have Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrome and imbalance in hormone. I was placed on Femcon FE and my acne has gotten progressively worse. It is concentrated mainly on my chin. I was my face twice a day, drink plenty of water, exercise and try to eat right for the most part. I stopped taking the Femcon until I can speak with an Endocrinologist and a dermatologist. For me, there is no point of taking a synthetic hormone that is not going to heal my main medical issue, PCOS. I will incorporate my gynecologist back in the conversation once I have those meeting with the other specialist. Back to your concern, you are not alone my chin is severely broken out and nothing over the counter will work. The assistance of a dermatologist has to be requested, because of the potential of bacteria being pushed underneath the skin and the horrible scarring.

To: lola1956 : I have only been taking these pills for about a month and a half and I seem to be having a few of the same issues. I have terrible breast tenderness and I feel like my face is breaking out more then it ever has. Especially on the sides of my chin and up the right side of my face closest to my nose. Its CRAZY. I feel like when I wash my face I scrub the heck out of it and i'm going to hurt myself. I don't think that my mood has changed at all but its still early in the pill taking process. If I notice anything else I will be sure to post it. I'm sorry to all the ladies who have had problems with this pill. Good luck finding a new one.

I have just recently started taking Femcon FE and it has made me break out in a red bump rash over my stomach down to the top of my private area and at the top of my thighs! I called the dr. today and I am awaiting a response but I already feel like I am gaining weight and have only been on it about 5 days! I will let you know when the dr. calls back. :(
