Are you still taking the Imuran? Has your side effects stopped? I am on 250mg of Imuran for UC and I have experienced the shortness when breathing and I also have a issue in my lower left side. I had an x ray done of my chest and I have some abnormal thing going on with my left lung and having a CT done in a couple of days to determine what is going on. But when I breath in I can feel my left lung opening and closing at the bottom? Have you experienced this?

Shortly after this post I went to the hospital. One of the side effects of Imuran is Pancreatitis and it hurts like hell..I was at the beginning stages and was quickly pulled off the drug. All I can say is, based on your reaction to the drug, I cannot understand why they still have you on it. If you didn't feel that way before the drug, its obviously the reason for your issues. There are a few other drugs you can try, Prednisone being one of them; I opted to go with Humira and my whole life has changed. I no longer have the pain in my hips and joints and can eat seemingly anything I want these days. The first couple of months the headaches were almost unbearable but the side effects of Imuran and Prednisone simply were not something I was willing to go any further with...treatment seemed worse then the disease. There are a lot of side effects for the Humira, but if it works for you, your life will never be the same again.
