You are smart to talk to your doctor but alot of doctors aren't going to agree it's the Lisinopoison.......you have to be your own advocate. It took me 10 months to realize what it was......it takes a while for the symptoms to subside after you are off of it also.....i have been off for over a month and still have lots of stomach issues. It is a common problem. Hope you start feeling better!!
Are you on any other medications?
I have nothing to do with the health industry, just an ordinary lady who lives in Sweden.
Yesterday I read an article from Läkemedelsverket (the equivalent to FDA in my country)
I`ll try to translate some lines.
"Läkemedelsverket want to inform prescribers and medical staff about the risk for serious lowering of kidney function in patients using ACE-inhibitors, angiotensin II-antagonists (ARB) and other medications which affect the renin-angiotensin-aldosteron-system (RAAS) for instance Spironolactone."
_____________
I have never taken these medication.
Hardly any other either - but I have seen people close to me suffer from side effects from different medications (statins and others) and that made me "educate" my self.
It`s not enough to trust your doctor.
You are the expert on your own body - how you feel.
Besides that it`s very important to look for information in many different ways/places (books, webb-sites etc.).
Remember to look at the information in a critical way.
For instance - could it be a biased text from a pharmaceutical company?
This is not to scare you - just to make you more aware.
