Hi a little over a year ago i received a kenalog injection for allergies and have been having a lot of the same side effects you all have been having. I have a very large indentation on my butt. I have an appointment with a plastic surgeon to see about have the indentation fixed just out of worry that it will keep getting bigger because it has over the last 12 months. I have also had problems with my period. I have went from having extreme bleeding to 2 periods a month to now bleeding for 3 weeks at a time. I have also lost a ton of weight and am down to 115 pounds even though I eat all day long. A drug of this kind should not be on the market!!!! ON THE PACKAGE INSERT FOR THIS DRUG NONE OF THESE SIDE EFFECTS ARE LISTED. Somebody should be held liable. If any of you have any information on a class action lawsuit please let me know. Surgery to fix this is very expense not to mention just looking at it in the mirror and knowing that it could have been prevented if someone would have informed me that it could have possible happened.

Hello.--- I had allergy tests a few months back, and was giving an injection of what's noted on my records as "Triamcinol Acet", which I found is another name for Kenalog. I too have an ugly deep indent in my butt. I'm desperate to get rid of it and concerned it will keep growing. I am so angry that it passed FDA approval! --------- Do you think injection of Restylane or Perlane may be good fillers for this? I'm thinking of going that route to start. If that looks okay, when it absorbs in a few months, I try one of those more permanent fillers they have out in the market. ------------ I can't believe we all have to go through this! I've had several other health issues too over the last couple of months and I wonder if it's the cause a s well.

Has anyone been able to find out if the any symptoms go away with time?
My wife has all the symptoms described form one shot to treat a rash she had. Just one simple injection and the only reason we figured this out was when I Googled for "large indention on butt" and showed all the posts to my wife who then coorelated all the other symptoms. It's hard for wounds to heal, she is restless and can't sleep thru the night, she has palpitations, rapid weight loss and hard to keep the weight on. There are many other symptoms she has but I'm eager to hear if anyone has spoken to the manufacture of Kenalog or has any credible medical resources to determine if things will get better with time or if this will be a permanent situation with ALL the symptoms. Surely, the manufacture should have clinical studies to find out what happens long term to those diagnosed with similar symptoms. My wife will see her Dr. this friday but over the phone they played it down as being a very rare occurance. I finally got the office manager to admit they had at least one similar case so this makes two. I think that's discouraging. They want to see what it looks like and then have her run "some tests". Anybody had that happen to them? What kind of tests and what do they end up revealing? If anyone has had any followup with doctors, please let us know what's transpired once you found out you had the problems. Thank you to everyone who has posted. Without this information we would have never known there was serious issues with Kenalog.

My daughter is twelve years old and received a kenalog injection at the end of August of 2008. The PA told the nurse to give the injection in her arm. A month later we noticed a large indention in her arm about 2 inches across and 1 inch deep. I took her back in and the doctor new right away what it was from and admitted the shot should have never been giving in her arm. He said nothing could be down about it and it will always be there. She feels embarressed about it and I am furious. I want someone to be liable for it. Does anyone know where we should go next to get help with this huge mistake.
