I have contacted an attorney in Delaware who is willing to pursue a possible class action suit. I explained my side effects from this drug and told him of the countless others that are suffering as well. He said if I was willing to do the "legwork" and gather up names of others who would like to join this suit, perhaps we could get a class action started. If anyone is interested please reply by contacting me at ***** Please be sure to type "Kenalog" as the subject and include your name, email address, and a description of your experience with Kenalog. I will than gather your responses and forward them to the attorney. He will than contact you individually, so please include a contact number. This will take some time. So please be patient, as you know these cases take time. I have spent 15 months trying to get some kind of help from various doctors, to no avail. Someone needs to step up and take responsibility. Hope to hear from many of you. Thank You

Tricia
I would like to participate in a class action suit, when the attorney has done all of the research involved with making it a legitimate case. I have since my posting been told by my dermatologist what happened. She said that the side effect of the indention in my hip is from the size of the needle used for the injection. Having been told this, makes me question is it really Kenalog or is it the incompetency of the individual giving the injection? Does Kenalog provide this information to Doctors? There certainly is a fine line out there where fault is responsibility begins.
In the mean time, I've had a plastic surgeon take numerous photos and he will be performing surgery on the location October 30th, (all at my expense)

My name is Jan Hutcheson in Dublin, Ohio. I had a Kenalog injection last April for hip bursitis. Mid-summer I noticed a small dent. It is now the size of a golf ball and seems as if it is down to the bone. I also am sore in this area. My phone number is 614-578-8579. Thanks for doing the leg work.

Hi
I received this shot in march 2008. My only side effect is a huge dent in my butt. I hate it. It makes me angry when i see it. I have tried to find out if this is going to go away and no person can answer me. I have had these shots over the years for allergies and have never had this problem. I want the dent to go away. I am young and in good shape. My butt has always been my best asset and now it's ruined. You can contact me at ginabedina@cox.net

I had 3 Kenalog 40 shots in my lumbar spine and immediately became very sick. I even had a heartattack afterwards. I had these shots more than 2 years ago and they were the start of my demise as I have never recovered from them and am now finding out the actual damage. Of course most doctors won't tell you the damage could actually be from the injections as they all stand together. On the way home from the injections I became so ill I lost 12 lbs in 3 weeks, couldn't eat, started vominting, had diarhea and had my first pancreatitis attack. I couldn't get out of bed for 4 weeks, was neurologically affected, etc. You name it, I now have it. Cortisone can damage or completely destroy the adrenal glands. I am interested in finding a doctor who specializes in arachnoiditis as Kenlaog 40 can cause this horrible disease. It is a progressive and deadly disease. But it takes a doctor specialized in this to really determine if you have it. I would be very interested in a class action lawsuit although I must tell you that after reading the Burton Report on this drug it states that the responsibility lies on the doctor and it is the doctor who you need to sue. They call it an "off-label" drug and if the doctor uses it then he is responsible as he/she should know what the risks are and all patients should have informed consent after beingmade fully aware of the the potential risks. However, the doctors do not tell you what they are using or what the side effects may be. If you read through the links on Kenalog 40 injections you may come across the "Burton Report" on this drug. It is very informative. It states on the Bristol-Meyers website that is not not to be used for epidural injections. So if the doctor uses it, then the responsibility lies on them. However, I am definitely interested in a class action lawsuit, this drug shouldn't be on the market for any reason. If you read the adverse effects it is really one of the most dangerous drugs I have ever read about. You may reach me at foreverpeace1956@yahoo.com.

Tricia,
I would also love to join this class action lawsuit! I have been trying to get help with my problem for months! I am 23 years old and I have had an allergic reaction to the Kenalog 40 shot as well. I recieved a shot from my doctor late last summer in my buttock and within a 2-3 months a HUGE dent where the fat/muscle tissue had been eaten away appeared. I also lost all pigmentation in the injection site and it turned white. My doctor told me to workout to rebulid the muscle and it would go away but since the the dent and white spot have gotten to be more than twice the size it was originally. I have had times where I have vomited and the dent feels warm and there is a sharp, painful tingling sensation. I am 23 years old and I cannot believe that it has been this difficult to find help! The manufacture is liable and has hurt many people and should be held accountable. Please contact me with any information you have @ Shavonnm22@comcast.net

I will definitly jon if this is actually going to happen. I go t a cortisone-kenalog shot in my left hip just over 2 yrs ago, and have seen my indentation go from being discolored and the size of a dime to a 1/4 inch deep and size of a golf ball. I have seem 4 doctors and all of them have said they have never seen this bad of a reaction before. I am a college cross country runner, and may have to redshirt my senior year because of the terrible pain that this causes me every day, particularly when i run. it is also horrible ugly and really limit my range of motion. i have a dull ache in my whole left leg 90% of the time and can not lay on that side or sit with my right leg crossed over my left. Please contact me for pictures of more inof on this if it is needed. preblemary@yahoo.com

I am definitely interested in joining your lawsuit. I was given a Kenalog injection about two years ago for severe allergies. A few months after the injections, I developed small dent in my right buttocks that has gotten bigger over time. I showed my doctor and he said he never saw that kind of reaction to one injection. The dent is embarrasing and I was never told that this would be a result of the injection. Please contact me at karenw@comcast.net for further info.

I also have a dent in my left buttocks that is getting larger. I received a shot last year for allergies and was talked into it by the doctor. I asked him what the side effects were before it was administered and I vaguley remember him saying that some people will have an indention but he said not to worry that it was in rare cases. I am usually very skeptical about any medications, vaccines, etc. I have not seen a doctor for this but plan on doing so soon. Please contact me with any news about this or call for support on the lawsuit. 270 999-0789. june.franklin@logan.kyschools.us

I also recieved a shot I believe to be kenalog last year for a sinus infection. Soon after the shot I noticed a large indentation on my hip where the shot had been given. It REALLY bothers me, but I am not in the position to pay for fillers, etc. I asked my doctor about it and he acted like it was no big deal and said that it happens sometimes. I was given no warning of such side effects and have been very unhappy about the situation. I think something needs to be done!

I also have the indentation from the shot. Did yours go away or fill in over time? If not what did you do to correct the indent? Are you still pursuing the class action suit? I would like to pursue it to.

I was in Kuwait for work from jan-mar 09 and had a horrible allergic reaction, the doctor on the military base gave me a shot of cortisone but I am unaware if it was kenalog, is there a way to know for sure? Anyway a short time later I started noticing an indent as well and it has only gotten bigger. I hate it and if there is anything I can do to help this case please contact me at sewassell29@yahoo

I too am trying to handle this as well. Funny how they have no problem giving the shot but don't want to explain reasoning. I got a shot in my right buttock in march 2009 now I have a 2inches by 2 inches deep indentation on the spot and my bottom is deformed. I am only 31 I would have never gotten this shot if they would have told me one the real name of what they were giving and too the side effects. Tamara Frost email. tamarareneefrost@yahoo.com e-mail me with your email address and I will give you all my information. In contact with board of medicine and lawyers as well. God bless
