Thank you so much for posting this. I also am on Topamax and in the past couple weeks have missed turning at my street but blamed it on it being nightime. It has never happened to me before and I have lived here for twenty years. I haven't had a sex drive either for twenty years but cannot blame that on the Topamax. LOL I am now taking 25 mg in the am and 50 in the pm. I am waitng for the weight loss to kick in. Doubt if that will happen though. But beverages do taste sour to me.
I have been taking topamax for about 1 and a half years up to 50 mg twice a day and some days I feel like I am regressing mentally. I make jokes about it when I cannot remember a word during a conversation or when I am trying to give advise to a client, but it really bothers me and although my migraines have returned with a vengeance, I do not want to keep taking this drug...or and the insomnia, well I need another drug to help me sleep, but that's another story.
Please tell me more about your "coldness". You are the 1st one to mention it. I have been on the med for 4 yrs now (I think). 300 mg/day. I get cold hands & feet where they become numb (& tingly from med. I assume). Fingers turn white. I have thin skin in those areas. I wear double layers of clothes during winter/some spring & I live in Missouri. Still have tingling some in toes & fingers, ringing in the ears, memory & word loss, little stuttering/thought process before speaking, dry mouth. Weight loss has been nice.
