We are sorry to hear what has happened. Much of what happened to you is very familiar.... I too was given Levaquin and Prednisone but in my case it was for a "suspected" sinus infection. After many complaints and 2 ER visits they were still saying it couldn't be the prescriptions. Six months after I stopped the meds I experienced a total right distal bicep tendon rupture. It was surgically repaired since it completely detached. The other arm still bothers me a tremendous amount. I was very fit and very active before this all happened. Now I can barely write on a chalk board with my dominant hand.
I don't know what (if anything) can be done for us but you mention that you are a registered nurse. Please do what you can to spread the word and help protect those that come after us from this suffering. Maybe we are the collateral damage but lets help someone else. I will not stop till I've told every person I know.
I wish you well in your recovery. I know it's difficult but think in terms of years, not days or months. It has been almost 2 years for me and it is getting better.... ever so slowly.
