I was on nuvaring for 4 days and began experiencing bad headaches (i rarely get headaches) followed by nausea and severe cramps that would literally double me over. Then began the worst thing, the mood swings!! I was not capable of speaking to people anymore, if something set me off I had one tone, LOUD!!!!!! I was yelling, screaming, wanting to kill myself, I felt like such a failure and was constantly fighting with my boyfriend over nothing. I could feel when the mood was coming on but I couldn't stop it then I'd sink into a bad depression. I will not recommend this to anyone, though it does work well for some, the risks of the nuva ring and the side effects are not worth the convenience.
