I am 37 with elevated BP. I started taking Lisinopril about ten days ago before bed every night. My kids have been sick with colds and I had also been ill with a cold a few weeks ago. My Dr. did tell me that I may develop a dry cough, but that I shouldn't worry about side effects. WHATEVER!!! I have felt like crap, flu-like symptoms and trouble breathing. I used to smoke and I feel like I have been on a smoking "bender." Then, this morning, my top lip was slightly swollen and peeling. I thought maybe one of the kids hit me with their heads (twin 13-month-old), but the swelling has gotten worse throughout the day and I look like a Botox-gone-wrong. And maybe it is the power of suggestion, but I have been feeling pretty down....

You are having an allergic reaction- your throat can swell up.This is called angio edema. You need to go to an Emergency room and get off this poison now! Lisinopril is notorious for causing this and I don't know why the doctors are not telling people.
