I am so sorry this happened to you. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I know how terribly scary this situation is. If you have faith in God, cling to it tightly. That is what has gotten me through this far. I hope you soon start to have some recovery, but it may be a long time before you really start feeling better. I was poisoned last December and while I'm feeling much better, I am still having problems. But, things have gotten better for me and I hope that they will for you also. Good luck!
PLEASE send a MedWatch report in by going to www.fda.gov You will be helping others who are being poisoned by levaquin. I was poisoned 4 yrs ago and I'm still suffering from the damage. Good luck to you and God bless you.
One other thing!!! Don't let anyone you know or love take this. My daughter just had a partial hysterectamy and she carrys a card that I gave her with all the names of fluroquinolones on it. I was also there to make sure they didn't give her any of these horrible drugs. They did try to give her cipro but of course, we didin't let that happen.
I had surgey one week ago and was given levaquin intravenously during surgery. I woke in recovery with neck pain and nausea. A few hours later the vomitting began. With several anti nausea medications the vomitting subsided but the nausea remained. The pain in my neck increased and began in my lower back. I was released from the hospital the next day and was given a prescription for levaquin for 10 days. I took one pill and felt significantly worse. The pain in my neck was unbearable; the nausea continued. I haven't slept more than 3-4 hours since the surgery. I even have pain down the back of my legs. I am very in tune with my body and it's reactions to drugs so I stopped taking the levaquin. It has been 1-1/2 days since I took a dose and still feel horribly sick. I certainly hope this will flush from my system since I only took small amounts. Why is this drug still marketed as a safe antibiotic?
