My doctor told me it would take a full two weeks to a month for Advair to have full effect. Two weeks after starting it I started getting short of breath. A month later I was having labored breathing. Six months later, he confirmed that I did indeed have an adverse reaction to Advair. There are a growing number of patients who cannot tolerate it and have to seek an alternative. Diana
